WOW AWESOME.................
Before
The unit had to be disassembled to get it out. The heat exchanger had to be cut in half. The opening to the crawl is only 16 inches.
After
Yes, technically the powered humidifier isn't supposed to be used in a horizontal application, but it works ok.

WOW AWESOME.................
Looks nice! Are those just fabricated boxes under the equipment? Hope you make the extra $$$ for the extra time spent on fabricating those. Interesting , can't say I've ever seen anything like that...
What's the cleanout for on the intake pipe?
What equipment is that?
Looks like a big improvement.
Yup, fabricated boxes. They don't take long to make. If you consider the time making those and the time trying to level everything out with strap or strut, I bet the boxes are money ahead. Meets the fireproof requirements, too (1" clearance on the cabinet sides). Easily gives the height to do something useful for the drain assemblies. Just think equipment rails in a commercial install.
The new pan overhangs the original concrete pad for the original furnace by about 4 inches, that is what the wood blocks are for.
The cleanout is an emergency air intake in case the stuff freezes shut outdoors. Prevents a service call and sawed off outdoor PVC in the right conditions.
Ducane equipment and matching 12 SEER coil/condenser with a TXV. Ducane was the only brand that would fit through the existing opening. Works well and is very quiet.
The old opening was narrowed a bit when a new tile floor was installed in the foyer by the previous owners. Could have cut a bigger one elsewhere, but that was to be avoided if possible.
Went from a 125k btu 80% to a 50k btu 90% (checked out with the Manual J). Yes, it was a big improvement. Changed the water heater flue through the roof, also (water heater is on the 1st floor- ranch home). There was an old chimney assembly up there that leaked, so it got torn off and a standard B vent cone was properly patched in with new shingles. Black roof, so it matched OK.

Nice job. How long did that take and who makes the metal?
Get back to work.™
Great looking job and it is always nice when the furnace is raised up so you dont have to lay down to work on it.They are going to love you when they see how much better and efficient their new system is compared to that oversize beast they had. Thumbs up!
Took a few days (it was at my liesure), the metal was fabbed by a buddy (I listed it). The job was for a family member and they like the new unit.

Nice job on the gas line. Good install.
Ah, didn't even notice the gas line... awesome job, have I mentioned I love seeing black pipe all the way?
That tee idea in the intake is a cleaver one too. I used to put one in every unit I could just incase (added quality to the install)... but them days are past for a while anyway.
Can't quite tell, whats the grey stuff wrapped around the lineset by the coil?
Sweet looking job!
The gey stuff is the cork tape available at HD. Cut the Armaflex a little short. What I had on me at the time.
I don't like flex connections, either.

Had a customer with a old heavy water boiler install in an attic servicing about 7000 square feet of house! The owner
was quoted several different prices to remove the beast.
We told him if did not mind, we could just pickel it...and move it to the side of the attic. That workdd out great, no
removal of pull-down ladder, sheet rock replacement, paint..etc, We replaced it with 3 130,000 btu 92plus wall mounted tankless boilers.
Is that a poured concrete floor in that crawl space? Looks like a Great Installation. Glad to see these quality jobs
going in. It just proves that we are professionals too.
Yup on the poured floor. Previous owners had it done.
