    got a few question if anyone can help

    1) Superheat on a refrigeration/air conditioning system is determined by:

    a) Converting liquid pressure to temperature using a PT chart and subtracting that number from the temperature of the suction line pipe read as close to the compressor as possible before it absorbs any heat of the motor using a temperature measuring device.

    b)Converting suction pressure to temperature using a PT chart and subtracting that number from the temperature of the compressor discharge line pipe using a temperature measuring device.

    c)Converting suction pressure to temperature using a PT chart and subtracting that number from the temperature of the suction line pipe read as close to the compressor as possible before it absorbs any heat of the motor using a temperature measuring device.

    b)Converting suction pressure to temperature using a PT chart and adding that number to the temperature of the suction line pipe read as close to the compressor as possible before it absorbs any heat of the motor using a temperature measuring device

    i wanted to thank you for your help here are some others

    1) On a Semi-Hermetic Compressor, Net Oil Pressure is determined by

    a) Subtracting the crankcase pressure from the oil discharge pressure
    b) Subtracting the crankcase pressure from the compressor suction pressure
    c) Subtracting the crankcase pressure from the compressor discharge pressure
    D) Adding the crankcase pressure to the oil discharge pressure

    2) Low Sub-Cooling and High Superheat is an indication of

    a) Excessive refrigerant charge in the system
    b) Low refrigerant charge in the system
    c) Insufficient air flow across the evaporator coil
    D) Restricted Liquid Line Drier

    3) High Sub-Cooling and Low Superheat is an indication of:
    a) Excessive refrigerant charge in the system
    b) Low refrigerant charge in the system
    c) Insufficient air flow across the evaporator coil
    D) Restricted Liquid Line Drier

    3)High Condenser Temperatures (more then 30 degrees above ambient) indicate:
    a)Excessive refrigerant charge in the system
    b) Poor heat transfer on the condenser coil
    c) Insufficent compressor ratio
    d) Insufficient air flow across the evaporator coil

    4)On a split system 2 stage, top/bottom evaporator coil, the 1st stage is:

    a) It doesn't matter which coil is staged 1st
    b) The bottom evaporator coil
    c) The top evaporator coil
    d) Split the top and bottom coils equally

    5) The purpose of an Oil Trap on a split system is to:

    a) Prevent oil flooding back to the compressor
    b) Prevent refrigerant flooding back to the compressor
    c) Allow the oil to carry regriferant gas back to the compressor
    d) Allow the refrigerant gas to carry oil back to the compressor


    6)The purpose of a solenoid valve on a split system evaporator coil is:

    a)To prevent flooding the evaporator coil with liquid refrigerant during off time
    b) To allow pump down of the evaporator coil after shut down
    c) Both of the above
    d) None of the above


    7) The purpose of a Crank Case Heater on a compressor is to:
    a)Separate the refrigerant from the oil in the compressor
    b) Keep the oil warm for easier lubrication
    c) Keep the refrigerant warm for easier evaporation
    d) None of the above
