Motivair Chiller
Does anyone have any information on the reliability of these chillers. We are evaluating the use of the air cooled chiller with a free cooling option and would much appreciate any feedback.

I have seen one. They are not seeing the expected payback on the free cooling that was predicted. It does a data center. It shut itself down for maintanence on run hours becuase it was programmed wrong. Trane is the rep in our area, took them 2 days to figure out why it wouldnt run.
Oh and it wont perform on the mechanical cooling to design. Design was 42F leaving, best it can due is 45F leaving at full load. The 12 year old RTAA next to it that it was supposed to replace runs better than the Motivaiar, I can run that at 40F leaving no problems. JMHOYour poor planning does not constitute an emergency on my part!!!!
