    i had a friend of mine that had a 50 year warranty on roof shingles, well one blew off, the roof guy said, no problem we'll give you a brand new shingle,NO CHARGE, then gave him a legitamate bill to put on the new shingle on his very pitched roof!

    So you traded your Trane for a Goodman? I have a Pinto I would Love to trade you for your Corvette.

    hey, been there, the guy had a person who worked for a trane dealer ,change out just the compressor, in his goooodmon unit, just the compressor!

    YES!

    Back in 2007 I had all parts replaced except the condenser. As the condenser was still working and would have added about $ to my cost at the time, I opted to wait until it died completely.

    Which it did, just the other day.

    noooo, he had a "guy who worked for a trane dealer", "replace" a "ompressor" in his "goooodmon, condenser", all the guy did was change out the compressor! it was pprobably a side job!

    Not intentionally. That's where the Trane vs. 'other' concern comes in.

    The archaic unit outside that just kicked the bucket was so old it was installed by Moses. I have no idea who manufactured that one.

    i'm atta this thread,, i cant handle this, this eary on the w/e addious!
    i gotta keep telling my self, your dealing with a homeowner, they see a compressor/condenser as the same thing!
