Trane 410A A BIG THANK YOU TO THIS SITE

I just wanted to say thank you to all who responded to my questions and to those who continued to respond until I notified them it was fixed. It's nice to know there is people out there who really do care. I passed on all your helpful questions to our AC guy and I believe he checked the wiring at the heat pump to make sure it was wired properly the second time he was out at our house because that is what one of the posts told me to tell him. I'm not so sure he would have checked that since it was a new install in Jan. and worked fine until we needed our AC and it reached over 100. We are nice and cold in hot Phoenix now.

I still want a thermostat that doesn't cost me my right arm and that is programmable that tells me when the heat pump is in stage 2 while cooling it only tells me stage 2 when in heating mode. It could have saved the repair guy from coming out 3 times.

Most or all of the White-Rodgers 2 stage stats will tell you which stage. 1F85-422 isn't too salty or there's the blue touchscreens too.

The thermostats that tell you if the unit is in 1st or 2nd stage go off the assumption that the unit is wired correctly , so it would not have made a difference in this situation
