That's not so bad. Down here it was mid to upper 90's for almost 2 weeks and dewpoint in mid to upper 70's, even over 80 a couple days. Your weather would have been downright cool in comparison.... and we aren't even in Kansas, texas or the South where it was really, really hot.
But yes, that's a big electric bill for MI and with your rates. For that size home, it's possible to be under 800 kw-hr's.... or around $70-80 with your rates.

Just a WAG (wild a** guess) but I'd say that the blower might have failed or been dirty and failing. The building mintenance guys replaced the blower motor themselves and somehow wired it up wrong (matching wire colors or reading a basic cut sheet... is so, so hard) or worse somewhow mounted it backwards (is that even possible?) ... which then made your problem worse.
I'm really suprised you didn't have a frozen coil and/or killed the compressor. The compressor was probably cycling on and off the pressure switch.

It would have been... but I've lived in MI all my life and it's not suppose to be like that way up here! lol. I absolutely agree that that would be an acceptable range IF THE A/C WAS WORKING EFFICIENTLY! It has been really miserable... and the bills are a bit "extravagant" to say the least... Our electric from September last year til now was never over 300 kwh and usually was below 250 kwh - usually around $36 a month.
