    I use clear primer, inspectors pass it on venting. I can get pretty crazy with the brush sometimes. and I hate seeing purple spots on the furnace, or worse the customers floors.

    good point..... i kinda believe in the "out of sight sight, out of mind" rule myself. if they dont see it or its hard to get to they wont change it.

    ive also installed duct mounted filter racks slanted like hvac-tech is talking about (more surface area) but left it accessible like you do or maybe just put a hinged "flap" type door on it where the H.O. wont have to "reach in" to pull out filter.

    either way...

    the only thing i dont like is the goodman tag. lol just kidding. looks good. keep up the good work.
