Is Comfortmaker a "gypsy" brand?
Hi,
I have a 4 year old Comfortmaker system in my condo, the unit is 14 seer
unit. I need some service on the unit and I have a new contractor. He tells
me Comfortmaker is a "gypsy" brand and its low end budget stuff. He tells
me its low end and anyone can get.
I was told 4 years ago that ALL the manufacturers are basically all the
same quality, and its a quality installation that is MUCH more important.
Any truth to it??
Thanks

get a new service company. Comfortmaker is manufactured by Carrier. I believe it is Carrier's lower quality offering, but has excellent backing

4 years ago 14 SEER was a higher end product, in all the lines.
And installation is second to proper sizing and duct design, and way ahead of manufacturer or brand.

Very nice product, but I only install their higher end stuff, like the C4 condensers. Nice product, easy to work on/service friendly, very sturdy units and very quiet with a 10 years parts warranty and a no hassle replacement guarantee.
