I had my furnace looked at and it was short cycling. 2 of the wires of the thermastat were hooked up wrong. I got that fixed and now it is not doing it as much as it was. Today i came home from work at 6 and i had my furnace set to 55 and it said it was 60 in my house. It was just turning the motor on and then it would turn it off and then back on. It turns it on for 5 seconds, then off for 5 seconds then off then on. And then finally it just blows luke warm water for about 5 minutes and then it didnt do it again till about 9. It did the same sequence and hasnt done it since. Anybody know what would be going on here. thank you for any help.

sounds like the stat could be the problem did you have it changed when the service tech was there.

hehe Wonder if the two wires were the 18-2 going to the condensing unit.
Anyone ever see them hooked to R and W
(homeowner..... don't tinker with the wires.... this is an inside joke for the techs here.. they'll know what I mean)
On a more serious note....
A tech would need to check fan controls, stat, wiring, safety controls, and the list goes on.
hehe I'm a whole lot of help.

yes i had someone look at it. i called him again and he thought that it might be a bad switch inside. like that tell if there is a block in the duct or something like that. The thermostat is probably only a year old and seems to be working fine.
