One year in the trade and making $20 Canadian. I will be going back a couple of bucks to start a new job. Was laid off at Christmas. The weather up here is crazy its like spring. Had a interview today with a new company. They asked how much I was making at my old job and I told them. They said I would drop back a little but not much. Bigger company and lots of Techs.

Most of the jobs around here I see advertised state $18-$24 to start. I guess the longer you work the higher the pay. I hope lol. Now in Toronto that is a different story $18.00 to $45.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week. But some thing has happen in the last year the wages seem to be dropping. The guy I worked for before Christmas was charging $80 per hour plus parts. So with 2 of us out in different trucks he was making $160 per hour. Not bad pickings. Here is a site for Ontario for jobs you can see the difference is wages.

Well I landed the new job this morning. Start Wednesday morning 7:30am. Already booked for a flight to St.Louis on February 12 for 1 week of training. The job I had before Christmas was pay no benefits or anything. The new job has benefits and pension. I will be starting at $21 Canadian which is about average around here. I am a G2 gas technician with air-conditioning. They asked if I would be interested in taking a refrigeration apprenticeship. The more trade tickets the better and more money. That is a big load off my mind. The company has 28 Techs and a bunch of install teams. I am going right to the Tech department.

A lack of planning on your part does not constitute a state of emergency on my part.
