High Limit

two filters plugged up well thats half the problem if you put filter grille on and they were that bad i wouldnt take the coil out just clean it up and let it ride.

I appreciate your help. It was going out on high limit after I pulled the filters out completely and they were not two inline filters, the were on a V rack. Like I said the A coil was what I would call plugged up. I can't let that ride bud.

Your Dad put a lot of time into you so now its time to pay him back. Pull the coil and wash it. I would also pull the squirrel cage fan and wash that.

try to pull coil with out disconecting it. If you can put something under the coil to keep water from entering the furnace I would try that.. if you disconect unit then you have to install a filter drier on liquid line.

What indoor coil cleaner do you use? I got some stuff for the outdoor coil, cant recall the name but it works real good. It's blue in color and the same outfit makes an indoor coil cleaner that's green in color and I didn't thinik it worked worth a chit. Any name brands I can look for next time I'm at the supply house? TIA.

The self rinsing doesn't work real good in the heating season.

He's working on it now, in the heating season.

So pulling the coil might be his best option, if it needs done now.

Pull the coil, scrape the layer of fur off, put in a new filter and mark their calender when it's time to change. Don't screw around with spray on cleaners if it's not hard core cooling season it's only going to dry up and not do anything. Fix it right the first time!
