I used to sevice them at a bunch of home depots. I like them and thought they were service friendly. I didnt like their plastic economiser cogs though.

Work on quite a few around here-
Service acess and hinged doors are nice,
On the older ones with the dial F/L control
they are 6 wire type which usually no one
seems to have in stock.
But aside that I like working on them.

I worked on one at a local hospital that was never set up right by the installing contractor. After we started it up properly it ran fine.
If I remember right, the economizer gears were really cheap though.

Easy to work on, and fairly well constructed.

Biggest POS I have seen in a long time. A new hospital going in here has 2 of em. Haven't been started up yet. I am mounting controls in them and have seen all kinds of problems. Example, TXV distributor tubes bent over and pinches right at the valve, roof leaks or door leaks, not sure which, maybe both. Unit had about 1 inch of water in it after a good storm.
The 1/4" tubing ran for Magnahelics is a crooked and kinked, my kid could have done a more professional job.
I don't know the tonnage, each one has about 6-8 copeland scrolls, looks like each circuit would hold quite a bit of refrig, as liquid lines are approx 2 1/8"!! But no liquid line solenoid. They do have CC Htrs but still!!
One unit has two supply fans (VFD) in parallel, but no isolation dampers in case a fan fails! The other unit has 4 fans in parallel, again no dampers!!!
These two were made in Tulsa, maybe they have another Factory that does better work. Don't know. All I know is the General is not happy. Customer won't know they got a POS until its to late.

I love 'em. Best units I've ever had to work on.

Great unit to work on from a techs point of view. Probably the best wiring diagrams mounted on the units. Parts in this area can be a pain because the rep stocks nothing.I like them almost as much as lennox L series.

2nd grey ghost for the most part. Colored wiring diagrams that are not so crammed full of crap that you get lost in the lines. The latest units I am currently on could use some help with the door handles - should on be larger and too easy to pinch your palm when you close the latch, but the designers seem to really have thought about the service techs when they designed there units. Indoor fan motor on a slide out rack so you can replace the motor without having to drop/gently slide the motor across the indoor coil. Also very neat and clean wiring. Pricey compared to others but definitely better built than most from what I've seen.

I love there color coded wiring diags. I hate there operator interface (System Manager). Started up a VAV system that was operating by itself and then three VAV dampers that were operated by a Tracer Summit system. Absolute nightmare. No help from the Engineering group who designed it. They were nowhere to be found. It is running but not as it should be.
