I've seen reviews for Carrier, Trane, Bryant, Rheem, Lennox but nothing for Westinghouse, which is the brand my contractor recommends. Has anyone had any experience with Westinghouse? Supposedly they have the best warranty--8years all parts. I'm replacing a GE unit from the late 50's. Contractor estimates 100,000 btus.

I install Westinghouse. They are a simple unit with a great warranty. They are manufactured by Nordyne. You can visit their web site at nordyne.com

I have installed alot of them and have had no issues. Make sure your contractor does a load calc. and pulls a permit for inspection.

Thanks. I was a little worried because I hadn't heard anyone speak of them other than the contractor I called, but since you agree I feel better.

very good product, but depending on where you live, it would be wise to ask the contractor for a price on the 92.1% condensing furnace. with the price of gas, it doesn't make much sense to install anything but a high efficiency furnace.
