I installed my ClimateMaster geothermal system in 1998. The system has been a nightmare ever since installation; multiple service calls per year, everything from small electrical components to now the compressor.
I have been told that the model I have was one of the first for ClimateMaster (almost a prototype). Does anybody know if this is true?
With the compressor out I am considering going to a high efficency LP system (I am in rual Indiana); I know I would have to add a seperate air conditioning unit.
Has the geothermal systems matured to the point of being as trouble free as a gas system?

A local contractor-Geothermal sales. I guess I should say i paid for it.
