NJ - State Chiller Registration - List?

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to receive a listing of all of the chillers registered in NJ. I know they have to be registered with the state, and would assume it is public information, just don't know how to access it.

Chillers are registered in NJ with the Department of Labor and Workforce development. (Usually for Operating Engineers License requirements). My group of guys is excellent with chiller work, so having this list gives me almost like a pre-generated up-to-date (yearly) marketing list. We do work at a lot of central utilities plants with 1000+ ton chillers (absorption, centrifugal, etc.), and I would like to focus on that type of work considering the skillset of my guys.


Just figured someone may know if the state has a place you can get the list of registered chillers.

hey stang.... im from nj and have ben trying to get into chiller work for some time.. ive been doijg hvac twelve yrs and ak currently studying chillers thru an onlije schoooll and on my own.. nechance there is an apprenticship position available?

First contact B&PVC and see if they will give the list.

if not, file an Open Public Records Act request (OPRA) with the dept. The form is available from the state online, although a recent court case says you can just ask by email and mention that it is a OPRA request.

You have to be very specific in the request and should say exactly what pieces of data you want. You can also specifically request an electronic copy which might save them time making print outs and you time entering addresses into the computer.
