Would this device work for P/S piping with a WM Ultra boiler?

No!
Follow the installation manual or you will have nothing but problems. Its usually not the equipment that causes the problems its the installer.

I would get an opinion from your supplier or through WM before either condemning or installing. This Caleffi device could indeed be part of the loop, as it replaces hand installed closely spaced tees. It is a shortcut for part of the loop and to me, looks as though it meets closely spaced tee requirements and a good loop piping method. Looks good but costs lots. I have seen photos of installs, but we haven't used them due to cost.
Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is already made up.

It might.
I have to convert it to SAE later to see if its too restrictive or not.

Yeah, I am thinking about adding it to my system when I expand to more zones and ditching the manifolds I have after more research is done. I bet the job would look really clean with one of these instead of manifolds.
