    Could someone recommend a Propane Leak Detector to put in the basement where a new gas furnace was Installed

    A 24 hr candle would work...just kidding' check out home depot...look for a carbon monoxide detector with gas capabilities. It will sense natural and propane.

    Propane will be heavier than air, the alarm would need to be at the floor level.
