    Has anyone heard of Xenon (by York)?

    This HVAC contractor is quoting me the same price for York Xeon (80% furnace and 12 SEER heat pump) as I'm getting for a Trane XR80 and XR11 (heat pump).

    I couldn't find any info on York's website about Xeon.
    Does any one know about this line?

    does anyone know what this is comparable to?

    in terms of quality...

    if this is just a York - then which York product line is it comparable to? affinity? liberty?.
    the Xenon website has no model info or detailed features etc...

    its hard to get any info on this product...

    I understand they wantto keep lower overhead and prices and
    they need not spend on marketing - but atleast their website could have details on what the heck they are selling.

    does anyone have product line info on this?

    Thanks a lot everyone

    what is air time 500?

    yes. the web site says its a "dealer only" word-of-mouth brand.

    and they say its "premium" quality with high grade materials and parts

    http://www.xenonac.com/what.html

    but it'd be great if anyone knows what their product line is

    "secret comfort" when it comes to this doesn't give me a comfortable feeling

    some info from google

    Xenon is apparently a private label promoted by contractors.

    not sure how it got associated with York - but I guess Airtime 500 (a contractor's association limited to 500 members) buys them from York and puts their name on it.

    Remember when I told you Calvert was part of a NATIONAL GROUP,That is so you cannot get any matching prices on that system. Buy the Trane!!!!

    Xenon is nothing more than a basic product trumped up as a premier product. An airtime dealer that carries it in our area explains to customers that "you've never heard of the product because they invest all of their money in Research and Development rather than investing in marketing." They charge a bundle for it...very much a 'hard sale, one call close' company. They usually get there best price from the weak or elderly...they live for it!

    What's it all about, Alfie? http://www.aireflo-hvac.com/pdf/standards_manual.pdf

    On page 2: * "When promoting or advertising Aire-Flo
    products, references or inferences cannot be made that
    Aire-Flo product is built or manufactured by Lennox Industries Inc."

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I know, different Brand!
    Same principle?
    Aire-Flo is not the same as a Lennox. Affiliated, yes. But not identicial design, etc. Not pumping Lennox or downing Air-Flo.
