A contractor included some performance data with the proposal.

Since I will purchase on Saturday (or Monday at the latest) I was just looking at the data.
The performance data was "Rated with 25 feet of 3/4 suction and 3/8 liquid line".
The proposal listed the lineset as 7/8 x 3/8. The line will run run more than the rating length (maybe 40-45 ft). Should the diameter be increased with the length of the line?

If the manufacturer states so in the instalation manual, than the answer is yes. Believe me, he would not go through the extra cost and trouble to go larger if it was not ness. sometimes installing larger dia. linesets is like wrestling with an anaconda, especially for a one man opp. like me.
