I have a 3 unit hydro air system being installed in my house. One in the basement, two in the attic for second floor and master zones. Should the boiler (not decided on type yet) have a single pump to a manifold then distributed to each air handler? Or, should each air handler get its own pump from the boiler?

if it were me, id like to see seperate pumps. if i were doing this job i might strongly suggest a munchkin boiler, or at least an ultra gas with modulating burner. the newer high efficient systems are now using modulating burners (except for oil) which is kinda like cruise control for your heater. good energy saver with relatively quick payback.
