I am installing a Nortec Resdelux steam humidifier. The instructions indicate that the humidifier, humidistat and high limit humidistat is wired to a DPDT AUX fan relay 24VAC, coil with two normally open contacts. This aux relay is then wired in parallel to the normal fan relay. I have a Carrier 58MVP furnace.

Does anyone know where the normal fan relay cantacts are located in the furnace?

Doesn't that unit have "HUM" terminals on the board? You could always use a current-sensing relay on a fan wire, controlling a dpdt contactor if nothing else is readily available.
The wiring diagram will show the fan contacts.
