Job Description:
The Controls Sales Manager identifies potential sources to solicit new customers for company portfolio of services and products. They also meet with customers to generate sales by using persuasive marketing materials, presentations, and communications.

Responsibilities:
•Sources, develops and qualifies sales leads through cold calling and secures appointments.
•Provides technical sales support for lesser experienced sales people.
•Assists other divisions in cross selling Control Systems and BMS to existing clients.
•Responsible for research necessary to perform selling (prospecting/qualifying) activities.
•Proactively prospects within business sectors that directly align with the company.
•Provides account management for existing clientele.
•Meets or exceeds monthly targeted sales goals.
•Meets or exceeds required number of appointments and quotes.
•Actively introduces products/services/extensions to new and existing customers.
•Builds and develops a loyal customer base.
•Communicates across departments to ensure smooth business operations and customer installations.
•Insures that client expectations are met and kept throughout the duration of the project to insure complete customer satisfaction; follows-up on all installs to assess success.
•Identifies new market opportunities through research and evaluation of trends
•Inputs, maintains and retrieves information from databases; insures accuracy of records.

Requirements:
•5 years of controls industry experience with 3 of those years in sales of controls systems.
•Completion of Trade School or Bachelor’s Degree.
•Experience working directly with engineers negotiating deals or projects.

Additional Qualifications Desired:
  • Experience with controls sales within the state of Michigan.
  • Tridium or Andover Controls experience.
