First, I am not an HVAC guy, I am a Mechanical Engineer who knows very little about refrigeration beyond theory.
I have a boat (in southern california) that doesn't have refrigeration. I enjoy going on long range fishing trips into Mexican waters, but can't keep the fish I catch if I am more than a day from home. I need to install some kind of unit, preferably a 110 or 220 plug-in, without going into a zillion dollars, that will make ice from raw sea water. Is there a commercially available machine that will work on a rocking boat and produce around 100 pounds of ice per day. My boat is a 44' trawler and has several locations where I could install a refrigerator-size machine.
Lastly, anyone who is willing to give me good advice on this is welcome to a free fishing trip, airfare not included.
