Anyone know if we can recover pics from imagewiz once they no longer appear? I need some pics back for possible litigation

The imagewiz account is a great service and would work will with professionals. The problem with everyone having access to the password is my photos get deleted. No, if your photo is no longer visible, the photo might not be there. The evidence has been destroyedAnyone know if we can recover pics from imagewiz once they no longer appear? . Try to find your own photo hosting service. I think there may be some free ones out there that will let you hotlink to them. I open up a website with yahoo where I upload and link my photos now.

Here's a thought.
It may be possible to recover the file from you camara's memory chip or from your hard drive.

IF it has not ben very long since you lsat SAW the picture in your BROWSER and depending on your internet settings....
YOU may still have a copy of them pix in your TEMPORARY (cache) folder on your hard drive.
It MAY be a hidden folder and it's been a while since I looked through them myself. But I HAVE found px this way.
Once you open my computer folder, click
-Tools
-Folder Options
-View
Then check the boxees like "Show hidden files", "show system files", etc so you may have better luck finding the pix.
You can then also try the SEARCH feature to find pix on the hard drive. Use advanced settings to look in system folders, etc
You MAY be in luck. IF you find the pix, copy and paste into a new folder.
Good luck!

If someone else uses the computer you might be in for a shock of some of the pix in the temp folder :-)
And if you need a website to hose pix, I'd be willing to bet the place you're getting your internet from now gives you more than enough space to do what you need to do.

There were places that 'backed up' internet sites. I think they were really putting copies of files that were accessed frequently somewhere closer to where they were accessed from. You might google and see what you can find. Trouble is I'm not sure what to put in the google search. You need to act fast since the longer you wait the worse your chances get.

I'm still trying..A month ago I gave the computer that has the pics to my daughter and bought a new one for myself {xp home). She erased my user name and all my files (at a prompt).
I tried to recover the pics from my camera sd card.
FYI, good freeware recovery program at http://www.dirfile.com/publisher/zer...-software.html
I recovered lots of pics but not the ones I'm after.
I tried system restore (in safe mode) and still no luck..this has become my mission in life

Did you have them in the Wall of Shame? If so someone here may have them in their internet cache. What post was it in?

That's what I was telling him. But I meant for HIM to go through HIS internet cache.
None of us would know what to look for.

Great that will help
First (misisng) picture is 15417_112_1284.JPG
Everyone do a search and tell it to search system folders, etc. Preferably the internet cache.
I'm on the road. So I'll try to remember to search once I get home. But 2 months is a lONG time. SOmetimes I manually set my cache to save for longer... But don't know if I did since the last install.
Good luck
