that would be rayr's department
I am ready to go big. I'm talking about 8m, exchangeable SRL, and at least 200mm zoom. Price range at $1,000 and up. I have my eye on some. If you have a super camera of this description what kind is it and would your recommend it? Thanks for all your replies.

You using this for HVAC or play?
Did I have this posted in the wrong place? Thanks for moving it if I did. I am looking to get a professional camera for "play". I already have the perfect little digital camera that I keep in my van for whatever I need during the day.
D70s with the lens in the package plus a Nikon 70-300 zoom.

All these taken with my D last fall. The thumbnail program I was using last year didn't do justice to the shots.

Google's Picassa does much better job at shrinking the pictures to fit the screen but not ruining them.
Just picked up the Rebel XT digital for my wife, 8.0 MP with the motion compensated lens. She's the photo nut, but it does take good pics. Lot more features than I know what to do with. Depending on lens, memory card etc., plan on 12 to 18 hundred WITHOUT the cost of a large zoom lens. Most lens that fit a standard SLR will fit the Canon but check with a reputable dealer for answers. Some of the lens can be as much as the body alone! Also keep in mind the size of the file that you will be sending via computer, it can take a lifetime if modem is involved. Good luck.
There is a cure for stupidity- you just have to convince twelve peers that it was justifiable.
