Customer is the Isonean (sp) dealer in my aera now and making a go of it. Has his facts together but I told him he will have a hard time with some contractors in the aera. He made some changes to his house last week. . .

Looks like a breeding ground for rotted wood and mold.
We had sprayed-in foam dealers running around here for awhile in the '70s.
I had to cut apart a 6" chilled water line to install a new barrel a couple years ago, and the pipe under the insulation was rotting and pitted pretty bad. The inside of the pipe looked new. The uninsulated portions looked new...
There were some cases in the area, too, that I heard of framing in the houses rotting and sagging with foam on them.
Maybe something new works though.

foam
Don't know all the tech terms but I did ask about moisture problems and was told water would move throught it, (open cell). It's shot with water (steam) and of course time will tell.

Up here in unconditioned attics, we usually insulate on the attic floor and provide ventilation for the attic space.

Same here, at least 99% do.

Honestly I've never seen an attic that didn't have insulation on the floor. Even a few attics that were big enough for storage had insulation on the floor, and the roof's underside.
