Damn. I always knew Ford had the toughest suspensions.

Funny to see all those comparisons. Especially the front end supporting the fenders, etc.

Hell. The Chevy/GMC 1 ton vans we drive have PLASTIC on parts of the fenders just like their wimpy Saturn line Chevy produces. PLastic is ok for a shopping cart to bounce off with no dent. But those parts EXPLODE in a 15MPH crash!

Alot of design also goes into

crumple zones. I've never heard anybody say "Damn frame on my truck went out" Ford might need that heavy frame to compensate for other thin parts. Unibody cars have no frames. Theyre OK too. I hated my Ford Truck. I hated it's ride, mileage, power, and interior configuration. I love my 05 Silverado and saw this before I bought it.

I have a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew and am glad the front of the cab is built the way it is for safety. I am also a pretty hard core Ford guy, even though when I bought two new vans I bought Chevys three weeks ago.

There really is a Ford slant to that site but my conclusion is that the F150 is a much better vehicle.

Great details. That is a well built truck. Makes me want to trade my '98 150 in for it!

I may drive a girly 1/2 ton F150, but that's all I need to take myself to lunch 2 times a day!

    Dice,

I see you are a GM man. Two of my service guys talked me into two brand new 3500 Chevy's with 12' boxes three weeks ago.

We will actually see what sucks in about six months, the Chevys or the Fords!
