Pricing is regional and market driven / dictated. Your wholesaler should be able to head you in the proper direction as far a component pricing as for your service and labor fees, check on your competition's rates and adjust from there.
if anyone could post a link or give me a good direction to go for pricing my work for customers, recently landed a spot as a air/furnace repairman at my local trailor park and i need to find some solid info on what repairs are normally charged so i can let the property owner know..keep in mind i will be giving him recession rates but i still need to come out a little ahead,2 yrs since i grad from a very good hvac program but in this economic mess i havnt found any work so i do work on anyones units that will have me, 100% success rate on all my repairs but i dont have that 3-5 years exp most employers require...im looking for a good price guide for an idea what i could be charging for my work..any help is greatly appreciated, trying to make a living in this mess of an economy.

Only pricing guide I know is that you are in business to make a profit.
totally agree, i need to be competitive and earn a living at the same time...ive heard of some ridiculous charges some charge ie, $$ to simply flip a breaker lol. i dont have the heart for that. whats reasonable to charge for a pound of r22 ?

There will be no pricing in the open area's of the site.
Please take a minute and review the sites rules..

Well for most of us, we're driving to a home/business to flip that breaker. That costs money. I always get onto my techs for just flipping a breaker...normally there is a reason why it flipped and you'll be back out there in a week figuring out what the problem is.
Google for a HVAC Flat Rate pricing kit...there are plenty of them out there, most of them require a decent chunk of change though.

I make a nice bit of change from Realtors who are having an open house and the AC/Heat ain't working.
99% of the time it is because the breakers have all been cut off when the folks moved out.
And it costs me time and gas, not to mention wear and tear on my vehicle to drive out and look at the system and flip the breaker.
So if it costs me, it costs them.
