Rebuilding txv
Do you guys see Any problems with rebuilding a txv if the valve doesn't have an inlet screen. This would include all internals and powerhead. The valve in question is in very bad location. Also a coworker says that distributors have screens. I have never seen that. Thanks

Is it a question of a new txv being hard to braze in?

Take it apart and clean the internal parts.
Install a new power element.
That should solve 99% of your problems.
