My dear friend Bernie (Bernard) Kaufman died this morning at 5:05am. He was 83. I just got back from his house where a few of us stayed till the funeral parlor picked up his body. I said my goodbyes to Bernie on Thursday. He never opened his eyes but I feel he was responding to me by reaching for my hand and seemingly trying to speak. They were giving him a two to three week time line, but I knew he was not going to around for many more days.

I am working on a tribute to Bernie on my website which I will be posting. Reading what I say about Bernie will no doubt give people the impression that Bernie was some sort of giant of a perfect man, which is not the case. Bernie was not a perfect man, but he most certainly is the most perfect soul I have ever encountered.

I am really sorry to hear that Robo.
The way we build has a greater impact on our comfort, energy consumption and IAQ than any HVAC system we install.

You'll always remember the things that he taught you and the things that he said. That is the best memorial to his being. Sorry for your loss of your friend.
