    Solar Pool Heater

I'm waiting for my solar pool heater to get delivered and my wheels are spinning. I want to use a three way valve with a trane mp581 to control the pool temp. My question is will a brass valve work with the chlorine or will the brass cause staining in my pool? I have three way brass valves in the shop with actuators. And I'm cheap and dont want to buy a PVC valve.

The 3way valve that I set up with my solar hear is a waste. Your going to want to send every drop of water to the heater.

Been doing solar for almost 30 years now. Prior to pvc, copper and brass was used exclusively for swimming pool construction. Proper water chemistry is a must. Ph and chlorine are the two major factors. Brass will work just fine. The most overlooked aspect of solar is freeze damage, and hp sizing of pump in relationship to energy saved.
