I'm sorry.I meant to post this in pro's where knowledgable persons could share their experiences...
If I put a 9 volt battery to my tongue I feel a shock.
But,if I put AA battery in my mouth nothing happens.
Why is this, and what would happen if I could put both posts of a car battery to my tongue?

Take two box end wrenches. Put the end of one wrench on the positive post of the car battery, the end of the other wrench on the negitive post. Now, as you bring the ends of the wrenches together, insert your tounge. Let us know what happens!

You would get allot of dates and a career in movies (yes those movies)
"Nothing else can poison our culture, corrupt our society or ruin the character of our people like unearned money or unearned opportunity." -- James R. Cook
"Fooling around with alternating current is just a waste of time. Nobody will use it, ever." Thomas Edison, 1889.

not sure but when you get back up run in here and let us know. send me a copy of the video. i smell a 100,000 winner here.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the AA batteries are a lot weaker, and if I remember correctly 1.5 is still less than nine.
the obvious response is that an AA battery is 1.5 volts and a 9v battery is 9volts. another reason is that the terminals on a 9 volt are about1/4 inch appart. the voltage only has to travel through a little bit of skin. however on an AA if you touch one end to your tongue and the other end to your lip, the voltage has to travel about 5 or 6 inches to complete the circuit, so there is a much higher resistance.
after you test out a car battery, try a light socket. i hear its lots of fun.
that makes sense, but if I put 6 AA batteries in my mouth...
...still nothing.
Put a watch battery in your mouth, you will feel it.
