I have an older Trane XE 70 furnace. The burners light, then slowly(30 seconds)burn out then relight again. This happens continuously. The blower does come on and it heats the house. Is this a themostat problem? Any other suggestions?

When was the last time you had your unit serviced?
Now there is a problem and could be serious, why not call for service and have them clean and inspect the system while they are there?
With the price of fuel, the tune-up could save you money in the long run.
