I am looking for a line of relatively low cost touch screens for interfaces to control systems for one of my clients. Anyone out there have any experience with them? Cost?
    Thanks in advance.

How about a webserver with a wireless router and a PDA? It's about the cheapest touchscreen you can possibly buy.

Not viable. Needs to be a stationary robust device. A PDA screen is too small for all the graphics.

    Anyother thoughts?

Please put a dollar value to "relatively low cost". Then may be I have some links.

And do you really need "touch screen" or a color LCD with buttons might do?

    $300 or less inc. driver.

No buttons must be touch screen.

Keyser - Touchscreen, not display. Loytec is great but it's got that dial. It's also, ummm way over $300.00

    Core - That would be:

    ilon100
    Wireless Router
The PDA. Microsoft Browser. Probably Ipaq will work very nice.
No PDA software - just make web pages PDA size for it to access. That's the good part.

With the new ilon 100 coming out you can generate web pages with a very inexpensive web page editor that you can use over and over. Macromedia Contribute. Check their PR on it.

sysint, please read the Loytec web page:

"The production of L-VIS (LVIS-3ECTR) has been terminated. The device will be replaced by a new L-VIS coming at the end of Q4/2005. It will have a touch screen (color) and an extended functionality. Please refer to the Product Change Notification."

The new one is still probably more than $300..
