I know they have been open for a while now but, please remember to watch out for those kids crossing the streets and playing in the driveways. This was my biggest fear when I did residential, I would walk around my truck twice before I get in and I would still be antsy about backing up. So be careful and slow down.

suggestion: all of our vehicles are equipped with a back up alarm that is very audible when the vehicle is placed in reverse. This is certainly no guarantee, and no substitute for a visual check, but can be a help.
Everyone has a purpose in life..........even if it's to be a bad example.

Seek first to understand, before seeking to be understood.

Great idea John, I just never see them and have always wondered why Ins companies do not make them mandatory for all types of in home service companies.

Good point John. JC Whitney use to have a backup light alarm combo in their catalog. Parts stores should carry them. But remember a horn or bell won't move a child or elderly person out of harms way.

    I always back up.

    After looking behind first.
We've been doing so much, for so long, with so little, that now we can do almost anything, with nothing at all.

All of ours are also. We have the service contract for the school district so we really have to be careful.

For awhile there we had a rash of "backing up into" accidents. Since we installed the back-up beepers we had not a one. It is true that things don't get out of your way but the alarm alerts the operator that he is in reverse.
