So last year I helped install several York roof top units. These specific models were the predator line. My boss had me install resistors for the controls for the dampers as there were issues with them opening all the way. The dampers would rub against the framing if opened all the way. With the resistors the doors now only open 80% of the way. Has anyone worked on these units and seen anything similar or was it just the units we received with the incorrect dimensions? Also how would this affect the airflow going in? Could this cause the A/C to kick on rather than the dampers opening?
