I use a HS-36 and it works for me. Millivolts, microfarads, dc voltage, temperature, VAC, Ohms, backlight, and a magnet. I would suggest the Amp Clamp attachment as mandatory. I am sure Fluke is great, I just have never owned one.

A fieldpiece is like one of those weedeaters you see at home depot. It will cut grass, paint your house, wash you car and whatever else you need it to do as long as you spend a pile of money on the attachments. I know you didn't need my opinion but I was bored

Look into the sc56 and the hs36 if you want to stay with fieldpiece.

SC77 is auto ranging w/ backlight.......got that one, SC76 no backlight
SC66 still use that one mostly
    SC64 use it occassionally

the 66, 76,77 will do all you want

    and for the pec*******

I've never had to spend a penny on any of the Fieldpiece instruments I've got
and I've had them for years

dandyme is probably right in saying the sc77 will most likely do everything you need in a meter. I think that if you want some extra features you should look at the hs36 and the sc56 as well.

The sc56 is the best all around clamp meter that fieldpiece offers. The hs36 is the best stick meter fieldpiece has to offer.

The sc56 does not have probe storage like the sc77 and the hs36 , but can do inrush current, %duty cycle and diode test while the others do not. I believe the sc56 can also has a multi display so you can show amp draw and voltage at the same time.

just select the meters you want to compare
