I see them terminate outside all the time. Ecspecially on steam boilers.

It's too bad that when it causes a problem, the boiler lifts off and pulls it's little pipe back into the hole through the wall. Nobody usually finds the little plug of ice in the discharge piping that caused the explosion.
It just scares me. Did you order the DVD from Watts?

p.s. to Amickracing... A plastic tank that is rated to test at 300 psi, or even an indirect tank, will behave exactly like this electric water heater did. Don't be fooled by the material.
