Yeah no shit, I've been watching this for like 1 hr.
Hope that baby lands ok
On MSNBC. Trying to land with the front landing gear at 90°. Now they're flying around trying to burn fuel before they try the landing. Must suck to be a passenger on that flight, wondering if you're gonna live through it.
Hope they have a safe landing

Me tooo Deep doo doo
Perfect 3.0 landing. Holy Crap!
Very nice.
Damn good job.
I give that landing a 10!!
Those people inside had to have lost at least 10yrs of their lives. Everyone is gonna come out with grey hair.
Anybody remember the plane that cartwheeled down the runway years ago? Was it Sioux City Iowa?
Yep, ended up in a corn field
How many lawsuits will evolve out of this spectacular landing. Don't forget this is the land of the lawsuit.
Well, I had to go out and get a 12pack after that one...I flew small 172's and I could'nt imagine being in that predicament.
That was one hell of a landing!!
Yep, sure was.Originally posted by workhorse

hey I was at work and I missed it , what happened? the nose wheel was in a horizontal position

a few years ago I was at the airport when a Skymaster was attempting to land . 1 of the main gear failed to lock in the down position
These are twin engine cessnas with a pusher and a puller prop. The passenger was trying to pull the gear in the lock position with his belt, didnt work , couldnt lock it manualy so they finally did a gear up landing. The guy did a pretty good job to
ok I just saw the landing on the news, what an odd way for the gear to end up
check out the LA TIMES this morning for video and pix http://www.latimes.com

I am now hooked on that show!
That was must see TV for sure, watched the last 45 minutes of it, unreal landing, that pilot was very good, to say the least. I would have been freaked out in that bird.
They said that landing gear did that before on a plane or there was a bulletin on it or something like that.
The passengers should all get free flights for life, if any of em ever get on a plane again that is.
Hey cockroach, don't bug me! ©

according to the ntsb there was a safety bulletin on that situation that recomended an o-ring be replaced to prevent this failure. it was supposedly sent to any party who owned this type of vehicle. then again we all get the carrier service bulletins right?
