That ass used to call me. His start off line was always "You're harder to get ahold of than Bill Clinton"

I have mentioned this before on here but telemarketers hate me. I will keep rambling on the phone till they end up hanging up on me. It's funny as hell when you just go off the wall and come up with personal stuff to start talking to them about.

He hasn't called me in a while. He used to call and say
    "Do you recognize the voice?"

    The last time, I replied:

"Yes! It's that moron in Arizona, who keeps calling and bothering me". Then I hung up on him.

He called me back and cussed me out bigtime

BUT! He never called back. I assumed that one of you guys had tracked him down and killed him or something.

    Apparently not.

Amazing. I think we're all talking about the same person. Everything posted is what I've heard from this guy. Someone post a company name or phone for this guy. I think NEVADA should telemarket him for some $10 service checks.

You ****head , you started this thread didn't you, John. I'm taking you off my email list . But it is really funny all except karsthuntr's "and he sounds like a black guy" comment. But then there are those who would say he sounds like a rasist without know him also. What is it about saw blades? I can't never see needing a special supplier for what is available at Lowes or HD, but then I'm not much of a businees person and will proably fail in my first year... or maybe in my 4th year.

I had no idea what that guy was even selling, because I've never allowed him to go far enough for him to spit it out.

Phone sales are tough enough as it is. Successful phone salesmen are that way for a reason. They use the proper phone etiquette and are very good at gauging the level of interest that the person on the other end of the phone has. They know when it's a lost cause and don't waste their time further annoying the person. They move on to the next one.

A successful salesman knows that there are only so many hours in the day to make his money.

The very best ones use software that allows them to use one keystroke to assign a label to the company they're calling based on the probability of making a future sale to them.

They don't waste their time calling back the ones who told them to eat sh*t and die.

They also get to the point, so they don't waste any more of their time or yours than necessary.

I think this guy could make good money doing marketing sabotage. That way he could tell you he's working for Milwaukee, when DeWalt is paying him to piss off potential Milwaukee customers.

Everything I subscribe to...... I'm Jake not Jack

Then when they steal my info and ask for Jake my sec. knows to tell them I'm out. If they get through it's either

"How can you be so cruel? [sob sob] He died LAST WEEK" or...

"Yea, sure, let me put you on hold and get rid of a call on my cell" then hang up real quiet. or.....

"Really? Sounds great. Send me a sample and I'll get right back to you" "Im no idiot, I won't buy sight unseen. Send me some samples" or.....

    "Blow me"

That is exactly where I take the conversation if it is a female telemarketer. If she wants to offer something that I might be interested in, who knows.

I used to get tons of calls from ... I think it was contractors supply from Texas or some other state where they have a weird drawl kind of voice Anyway, same thing, calls me by name like he knows me, wants to sell me 100 extension cords or something.
So about 2-3 years ago he calls, sounds like a hillbilly, same guy.I hang up right away, he calls back and starts to leave a message on my phone machine "don't you ever hang up on me you *&&^%%"............
I freaked out, honestly it was the maddest I ever got at a phone solicitor, I picked up the phone and I was screaming in the phone, called him a MF and all kinds of ****, now mind you I am flipping out at this asswipe, finally I said, well screamed.... if I ever see you I will blow your freaking head off..............
He called back right after and left one more message on the machine., "well ya didn't have to get all mad at me"
    I just started laughing....
He never called back after that.

I thought "Abnoxious" and "Telemarketer" were exactly the same thing.

    From
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telemarketer

"A few people have used foul language, even sadistic means (e.g., bringing the sales representative to an emotional breakdown) to berate telemarketers whom they believe should not have called in the first place and to discourage future calls.

The simplest solution, however, is to ask to be added to the "Do Not Call" list and allow the TSR to confirm your additon, before hanging up."

You do sound a lot taller on the phone.

Also, while we are on the subject. Are you aware some companies use federal prisoners as telemarketers??
As part of their prison work program. Unreal.
Many years ago I think I must have PO'ed one of em. I got very disturbing phone calls at weird hours, very bizarre, went on for several months and then stopped.
I swear that guy was in prison, I am sure of it, he was that effed up.

That would explain something I watched on tv a while back. Some fraudulent telemarketing company was formed by ex-cons. Now I know where they received their training... at the taxpayer's expense!
