Is anybody having problems with York unit's economizers not working properly? We have quite a few York units that - on a 97 degree day with humidity you could nearly swim in - we are finding that on no a/c calls the economizers are wide open with both compressors running for all their worth. They utilize the Simplicity boards, which I am beginning to wonder if they have issues York isn't letting on about.

Does the econ respond when you open or short the enthalpy sensor leads?

I haven't found the condition your describe. You are talking about the Coleman Line Yorks, correct, where the control bay door opens to the left against the econ hood?

So when you checked the economizer modules.....you found what? How did you fix them(hopefully not by just disconnecting the econo)? Was it because the remote pot wasn't jumped? More detail?

In my situation, the economizer would stay open 100% on a 95 degree day. Talk to york and they said" it was an internal control issue on the economizer control"
