I have a four furnace system. Three furnaces have Honeywell PC8900 thermostats (one furnace has a remote sensor for controlling/averaging two spaces). The fourth system is rarely used, but I will need to start using it more and was planning to install another PC8900 with a remote sensor. I udnerstand the PC8900 is discontinued. Any suggestions on a good alternative? The system has two areas, so I will need either a thermostat like the PC8900 that has the ability to average or control based on remote sensor only, or a dual thermostat capability so that I can control from either thermostat. I am not interested in wireless thermostats that would simply move room to room.

One question about the VisionPro 8000 -- it looks like a good stat, but in reviewing the literature, it does not appear to give me the averaging/remote system control that I get with the PC8900. Any comments on this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ross

Honeywell T7300 should do averaging and more.

The VisionPro will average the temps with remote sensors.

I understand that this is correct, in part. The remote sensors can be averaged (according to the product manual), but there is no average feature to combine local and remote sensors.

You could place a remote sensor locally.
