On ductless split systems the "liquid line" is acutally a mixed phase line and part of your evaporator because your metering device is at your condenser so you are required to insulate it so you don't boil off to much refrigerant before it hits your evaporator coil.
Correct me if I am wrong on this particular system.

Actually in this case, Eric said their was a TXV in the wall unit so the insulated LL wasn't needed. But it called for 1/4 x 3/8" lineset, easiest to get was a mini split lineset kit.
