I now am trying Verizon DSL with MSN Premium. MSN provides parental controls for their internet connection, but my son does not go on MSN.

    Two questions:

1.) What can I do about parental controls for the Internet?

2.) How can I set up my computer so a password is required to log on?

Right now all you have to do is turn on the computer and you are online.

I am not comfortable with this. Any ideas?
I pray not for an easy life but that I be a strong person.

    Go to "Control Panel"

    Then

    "User Acounts"

You can use one computer as two there by starting another account and pass word protecting one or two.

Need to find out what OS he is using first...

There are also a myriad of programs out there to monitor use of computer, you should also monitor the page history, and set solid rules for use...
