Carrier Flotronic Monitor w/ Black Box HS Converter

Hi all,

I've been trying to get Carrier's Flotronic Monitor to work with a Black Box HS RS-232/Current Loop converter. I'm using an older (very) laptop with DOS 6.22. My cabling and settings on the the BB converter are as spec'd in FM for the Telebyte Model 65. However, the controller on this 30GB200 and my laptop with FM will not talk for some odd reason or another.

Any suggestions?

I've read through all of the posts on this forum related to FM, but still no success.

I thought it had to be a Telebyte 65A. I haven't tried yet. I'm only authorized to buy tools less than $100.00.

It turns out that the key is "half-duplex." The Black Box device only does full duplex... go figure.
