Since that time, the U.S. government has gotten involved and officially "killed" the one POW/MIA representative of all POW/MIAs from the Vietnam debacle as of 1994, the message being there are no more live POW/MIAs being held in captivity in Southeast Asia.

Now the flag, in the eyes of the government, represents dead men
