Working in tornado ravaged Joplin today

I was helping friends today at 2 of their homes just blocks from each other and both were destroyed. I took video of the 2nd house. It has 2409 spray painted on it.

Here is another video I took from that address down to 26th st., over to McClelland and 32nd St.

The video is kinda long. I will try and shorten it.

You can see St. Johns hospital. from 3 sides.

Here are some pics of that area.

Cunninham Park is where I have taken my kids. My kids used to attend St. Johns daycare when my wife worked. Ironically she had a tornado scare when she worked at AT&T in 2008. That one missed her by a few miles.

You see in one pic a dumpster. It's wild to see how much strength wind has to damage a dumpster.

I wonder just how I would react to being a victim of such devastation. It's truly a heartbreaking site.

Amazing pictures. I live in Los Angeles, CA. My friend that moved to Joplin 3 months ago from Los Angeles works for the city of Joplin. His a city street maint. Talk to him on a daily basis. He was telling me that the main hospital in Joplin is still standing but it shifted from its foundation 2 to 3 inches. My heart goes out to Joplin.

As bad as the pictures look, it is much worse to see it in person.
