I live in Toronto and we are replacing our 24 year old gas furnace for a high efficiency one. My contractor gave me a range of quotes from the top carrier ones to a keeprite. He suggested the Goodman claiming that they had improved in quality a lot in the past couple of years. He said that if the new unit broke down more than 5 times in 2 years he would even replace it. The contractor is very reputable. Is it true that Goodman has gotten better?

Or enough tequila in us so as to tolerate him.

Yes this is one Goodman dealer here who would like Robo to 'chime in".

Or I could just ring his bell for him.

Come, come Robo, why hide in your mobile home when people need your elequent and insightfuls quips and chips?

If he is your contractor why would you not go with what he advised? You can listen to all the advice in here you want but I dont think they will be the ones that will be putting it in or servicing it, being you already have a contractor. Everyone will tell you what they sell is better , what would you expect. If you trust your contractor , go with his advice.
