On the NYS Thruway our car's electrical system sh!t the bed. Zipping along at 75 mph and everything shuts down. We got it off to the side of the road and that was all she wrote. I believe it is the alternator.

Anyway got towed off and the guy has to bring us to the Ford Dealer in Newburgh NY. Sunday nite and of course they are closed. So we stayed the night in a motel. This morning the Ford guy said he probably won't look at it today. So I guess we are at thier mercy. They did say that it would be between $85-120 diagnostic fee. Hmmmmm......

We rented a car and got in around noon today. I will have to wait to hear from "Sunshine" Ford in Newburgh before I can go back down and return my rental and retrieve my Expedition. Newburgh is about 140 miles south of here I made up to Bennington in a little over 2 hours.

My doctor gave me six months to live, but when I couldn't pay the bill he gave me six months more.

I think we finally let Craig and Ms. Linda get to bed around 2. But don't hold me to that. Sunday a bunch of us got together for brunch at the hotel. One more fun thing before we left.

The service manager just called from "Sunshine" (aka rain cloud) Ford. It was the alternator. Only $450. and I get my car back good as new. I guess that takes care of the senior citizens discount I got in Baltimore.

Anyways I have to go down on Wednesday return the rental car and get mine back.

I just bought an alternator for my 99 Ford 350 van. $130.00 and installed it in 1/2 hr. You should go all "customer" on them like we have to deal with! LOL!
