LOL The only real research I did on this was talking to a plumber wholesaler "Hughes" that said >>>Technically, that is not a Y but a 45 degree branch fitting.

I use them all the time to prevent two holes when going through a roof.

LMFAO. I HOPE that's laying on a brick sidewalk.

If not, it's installed somewhere in PA. Thankfully, not my house.

I thought you guys were professionals! That is a true remote termination kit

Good catch Dave. That is the sidewalk to my house (yes, somewhere in PA). It looks very similar on the side of a house though.

It's funny what is common place in one area, is unheard of in another.

Those two kits are very common up here, sort of the "profesional" way of doing it. I really like the bayvent kit myself. Very nice looking when done.

In most areas, the termination must be noted in the I/O manual of the furnace manufacture or it will not pass code.

In other words, if a furnace manufacturer does not show a Bayvent termination in any venting installation literature, that termination would not pass inspection.

Ugghh... WHY!? lol I liked it when Trane was the only one that had it.. Cuz every time I go by a home, I knew there was a Trane in there..

Now I see the Lennox dealer is using them. :-( :-(

I think Trane should be the only one that use BAYVENT
